MDOC Photos After Presque Isle Release
OTIS can show an offender photograph for a person who entered MDOC custody or supervision. It does not cover someone sentenced only to the Presque Isle County Jail. The OTIS gateway also warns that some older electronic photographs do not exist. A missing state image therefore proves nothing about the county booking, release, or outcome.
A focused MDOC request may seek the most recent releasable offender photograph and an existing release or discharge record. Use the full name, date of birth, and six-digit MDOC number. Ask for actual parole, release, or discharge fields and for segregable portions. Do not ask for a PENPACK, which MDOC restricts to recognized criminal-justice authorities for official business.

Michigan appellate authority supports treating booking photographs as public records in the circumstances decided. Court-derived errors go to the court of record, and MDOC updates its information through a court order or supervising agent.
Official removal does not guarantee that every lawful private copy vanishes. Avoid paid removal promises. If a private publication is inaccurate, use its documented correction channel and supply the current official order without sending more personal data than needed. The source record remains the baseline for determining whether the image should still be publicly associated with the case.
Note: A set-aside changes official public access, while a historic private image may persist without carrying current legal meaning.
News and Old Presque Isle Photos
A local news report or official press release may contain a photograph tied to a named event. Read the publication date and caption. An arrest photo published years ago does not show present custody, case disposition, or a later release. A court docket, Sheriff release record, or MDOC status is needed for those facts.
Private aggregators can retain duplicate or poorly dated images. They may confuse people with similar names or fail to reflect a set-aside. Do not treat a private gallery as the primary record, and do not pay a service based only on a threat that an image will remain visible. Confirm identity and current official visibility first.
